Once you have settled into Dubai, a number of your routine transactions such as payment of your electricity bills, SALIK tag, renewal of car registration, among others can be done online. The central ePay gateway of Dubai eGovernment enables customers, to settle the fees of government services online on a 24/7 basis in a secure environment.
Payment options
There are many online payment options accredited by Dubai government departments for settlements of transaction fees. These include eDirham, credit cards and Dubai eGovernment prepaid cards. You also have the option of direct debit payments, for certain banks who have partnered with Dubai eGovernment. These include Commercial Bank of Dubai, Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank, Union National Bank, Dubai Islamic Bank and Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank.

Highlights
Ground work begins on Khams Shamat tourism project in Syria
Dubai-based MAF Properties has commenced the ground works for its first tourism project in Syria, called Khams Shamat. Located in the Yafour area on the Damascus-Beirut highway, the project will occupy a total land space of 1 million square metres and is planned to contain hotels, a town square with outdoor shopping and restaurants, commercial office space and touristic accommodations. The company will soon announce the names of the leading companies to operate the major hotels in Khams Shamat. The first phase of the project will be completed in 2014.
