In Dubai, the Department of Health and Medical Services (www.dohms.gov.ae) runs the following hospitals: Dubai, Rashid, Al Baraha (aka Kuwaiti), Maktoum and Al Wasl. Dubai Hospital is renowned as one of the best medical centres in the Middle East, while Al Wasl is a specialised maternity and paediatric hospital. DOHMS also operates a number of outpatient clinics.
