Get a mobile phone connection in Dubai
There are two mobile service options available from both Etisalat and Du, and each depends on your needs/requirements: standard GSM (post-paid) and pre-paid mobile service. Because you pay in advance pre-paid, you will always know how much you are spending.
Documents Required for obtaining SIM card:
- A copy of your passport with a valid visa stamp or a valid visit visa
How to Subscribe
Visit your nearest Etisalat /Du office or business centre or an authorized reseller to sign up for the service and get your SIM card.
Yearly Subscription
You have to renew your subscription each year at a cost of AED100.
Local Calls
- 30 fils per minute (For the first 60 seconds). Du charges by the second.
- From 61st seconds onwards
- 15 fils for every 30 seconds (7am–2pm and 4pm–12am)
- 12 fils for every 30 seconds (2pm-4pm and 12am-7am)
International Calls
International calls are charged at IDD rates.
Incoming Calls

International number 60 fils per message - Receiving
