Learning Arabic

English is so widely used in Dubai that you can get by without having to learn a single word of Arabic. However, some say that to enrich the cultural experience of your time in this part of the world, knowing some basic Arabic is helpful. Many expat children have Arabic lessons at school, so it can be useful to know a bit yourself. The language schools listed in the table all offer classes in Arabic, and most teach beginner, intermediate and advanced classes. Arabic classes are available both during the day and in the evenings, so you should be able to find one at a convenient time.
