Although it may seem unimaginable to be cycling around Dubai, with the fast paced traffic and hot temperatures, hiring a bicycle for getting around this beautiful city is becoming increasingly popular. RTA has decided to try to encourage cycling in the busy districts of Deira and Bur Dubai by adding dedicated lanes and parking areas for cyclists. There is even talk of a network of cycle lanes that would eventually be extended to other parts of the city.
